The Last Supper-a famous work of art

Our good friend Nick carved an amazing pumpkin. You can view this work of art on the Riz-bitz family blog. If you look closely at this photo, however, you may notice, as I did, that Nick seems to be missing something. http://www.rdljnrisbrudt.blogspot.com/

Speakin' It

I (Brent) recently had the wonderful opportunity to be the speaker at Middle School Mania weekend at Inspiration Point Bible Camp.

I met Jen at IPBC, which is one among many great reasons that she and I continue to enjoy spending time at 'The Point.'

Mixed into my sessions were rounds of 'Deal or No Deal', powerful passages from God's word, and a few hypothetical photos of yours truly, had I played hoops back in the 50s. For the sake of all who browse the Rogness Rundown, I'll just post one of the basketball pictures.

Maplewood Maniacs

A rare weekend at home left Jennifer and me with a hankering to do a short vacation on Saturday afternoon. I had never been to Maplewood Park near Pelican Rapids, and Jennifer thought this would be a great time of year to give me the tour. We packed a lunch, brought the camera, and set out. I love fall, so aside from a short hike on a trail that was designed for horse traffic, and Jennifer's eagerness to dig into her meal (see below), I had a wonderful time.

Whew!

School is back in session which means I have been spending nearly all of my time trying to stay at least one step ahead of my 27 first grade students. This hasn't left much time for blogging as you can imagine. My apologies.

Brent just spent the last week in seclusion. O.K., not really. I just never get to use that word. He was testing a skin lotion at PRACS while I suffered the first week of first grade on my own.
There really are no words to describe what that first day of first grade is like. Maybe this visual will help...

Anyway, I love reading all your blogs, so I promise to be more faithful about reading and writing (and rithmatic too).

Behr naked? Not anymore.

We finally decided to give the heave-ho to the pasty disposition of the upper portion of our living quarters. Jennifer decided she wanted to spend one of the final weeks of her summer coating the living room/kitchen/dining room with more earthy tones. So far, so good!

New Restaurant

Greetings! Jennifer and I found a new restaurant that we love in Moorhead. It is super easy to get to, the food is tremdendous, the china and flatware were just what Jen would pick out, and you don't even need to wear your shoes.

Jennifer says the only problem is, is that it isn't open that often!

We are becoming quite the South Dakota tourists. This past weekend we traveled to Pierre because Brent was in his friend's wedding. Here are some snapshots from the weekend.

Weekend with the boys

We spent a weekend in the cities- here are some snapshots of the weekend with my little buddies.

Erik read this book to me.

Noah did some tricks.

We all blew bubbles!

A test of endurance

One murder mystery. One puzzle box. Two puzzles. Twenty-two sodas. Too many hours.
Nothing challenges the cohesiveness of a family like figuring out two puzzles combined in the same box. The Levangs stuck it out and conquered the beast that is D is for Diamonds.

(If any of you are planning on doing a murder mystery puzzle called D is for Diamonds, consider yourself warned, because this is the picture of the completed puzzles.)

This past weekend we had loads of fun in Fergus Falls with Jen's family. Here's a look at the weekend in review.

Also, not pictured, is the movie we went to... Transformers. Highly recommend it.

This past weekend, Brent and I traveled to the Black Hills for a family reunion. Here are some of the fun sights we took in...

Here we are in George Washington's esophagus, otherwise known as Beautiful Rushmore Cave.
