In case you haven't noticed, we have a tendency to use this blog as a way to announce only major events in our lives. We'll work on that.
However, there's one major event we have been keeping in reserve since our last post. We didn't tell you then, but we had also found out we were going to have a baby! Our lives really did change a lot that day.
Androcles, QuarterRoy, Beulah, or Yahtzee will be born at the end of August. Well, our name list is still evolving.

What a difference a day makes...

Jennifer graduated from MSUM on Friday with her Master's degree. Yeah! At the same moment that she was receiving her hood (that blue thing that is wrapped around her neck- as if the funny hat wasn't bad enough) Brent's phone rang giving him the good news that he got a new job at Eide Bailly! What a difference one day can make! Brent thoughtfully had his phone on vibrate as to not disrupt the ceremony. =)
We are looking forward to a more normal new year- minus classes, homework, and jobs that require you to be at work until 1 a.m.

Speakin' It
I (Brent) recently had the wonderful opportunity to be the speaker at Middle School Mania weekend at Inspiration Point Bible Camp.
I met Jen at IPBC, which is one among many great reasons that she and I continue to enjoy spending time at 'The Point.'
Mixed into my sessions were rounds of 'Deal or No Deal', powerful passages from God's word, and a few hypothetical photos of yours truly, had I played hoops back in the 50s. For the sake of all who browse the Rogness Rundown, I'll just post one of the basketball pictures.

Whew!
School is back in session which means I have been spending nearly all of my time trying to stay at least one step ahead of my 27 first grade students. This hasn't left much time for blogging as you can imagine. My apologies.
Brent just spent the last week in seclusion. O.K., not really. I just never get to use that word. He was testing a skin lotion at PRACS while I suffered the first week of first grade on my own.
There really are no words to describe what that first day of first grade is like. Maybe this visual will help...

Anyway, I love reading all your blogs, so I promise to be more faithful about reading and writing (and rithmatic too).
